  • What is the cost of domestic adoption?

Domestic adoptions vary between $35,000 and $50,000. The cost of a domestic adoption depends on variables such as birth mother expenses, medical bills, and legal fees, which at times are tough to estimate.

  • Can I write off my adoption expenses on my taxes?

Please contact your CPA regarding possible adoption tax credits. Consult the link below for info on qualified expenses for adoptions.

  • What type of adoptions does Adoptions Unlimited handle?

Our team can help you with domestic adoptions, international adoptions, stepparent adoptions, relative adoptions, independent adoptions, and guardianship adoptions.

Experienced Adoption Specialists are ready to help you with your adoption journey.

  • Approximately how long do prospective adoptive parents wait to be chosen by a birth mother?

Even though we cannot estimate approximately when you will be matched, most of our prospective adoptive parents have a successful match within 6-12 months.

  • What if our Home Study expires before we are matched?

Your Home Study is valid for 12 months. A Home Study update must be completed annually to meet all inter-state requirements for adoptions. For more info, call Adoptions Unlimited at (909) 902-1412.

  • With so many adoption agencies, facilitators, and law firms as options available, why should I choose Adoptions Unlimited?

Adoptions Unlimited is a full-service and licensed adoption agency that has been operating since 1983. Founded and still run by adoptive parents and adoptees, we are committed to building happy families.

To make the best of every opportunity, our staff is available to potential birth mothers 24 hours a day. We do extensive networking, advertising, and social media outreach to find potential birth mothers.

  • Do you get any medical or background information on the birth parents?

Adoptions Unlimited makes every effort to obtain documented background and medical information on all of the birth parents. We ensure that this information is then provided to you in a timely manner for the adoption.

  • Is it true that a birth mother can change her mind and take back the baby?

Yes, the birth mother has the legal right to change her mind at any point throughout the pregnancy.

To help reduce the risk of changing her mind, Adoptions Unlimited staff works very closely with the birth mother and conducts consultations to ensure the birth mother's commitment to an adoption plan.

  • At what point can the birth parents sign over their parental rights?

Birth parents cannot sign relinquishment documentation for the adoption until after the baby is born, and the birth mother has been discharged from the hospital.

Adoptions Unlimited is known for being exceptionally proactive in reducing stress for both the parents and adoptive parents.
